Strummer LOVES to play on our bed. She wrestles with the comforter, which often leads to her rolling on her back and making my favorite face ever. This is pretty much it..
Strummer loves this outfit because it keeps her nice and warm. While we don't like to dress her up in non-functional clothing, this one was a gift. How cute is our queen of the jungle?
There seemed to be a lot of, "Where's Strummer?" this weekend while we were in Southern California. At our friend Josh's house, we found her in a corner, nestled in a blanket on the floor.
When we returned home, within minutes of being in the house, she wanted to get in bed so badly, she jumped in to the bag it was still in! Silly girl!
Strummer is not an only furball, in fact, she has two VERY big brothers, Beamish & Scurvy. The only problem is, she can be a bit timid around them, especially when they're sleeping on the couch. Her solution? MEAT ISLAND!
When Strummer jumps up & finds the massive felines having a lounge, she retreats to the t-bone pillow & waits for them to leave, so she can run around on the couch. (Why yes, she IS a vegan dog, but no animals were harmed in the making of this ridiculous pillow.)
Okay, so this isn't a blog for humans, it's a blog for the World's Cutest Tiny Chihuahua, but I adore my baby bear so much, I thought it would be OK to slip in this one, so you can see the cuteness.
This is her, "yeah, OKAY.." face, when she knows someone is doting on her. Next thing you know, she'll be using her paws to spring off your face, so she can go run around.
Okay, they may not be the clearest photos of Strummer, but she can't help but show off her swanky side. Sure, it's not her chair, but she thinks she looks damn good in it!
Strummer & I have a Wednesday routine which includes a trip to the Farmers Market, then on to Rainbow Grocery, the best vegetarian co-op ever! On a recent trip, we were joined by Isa Chandra Moskowitz, vegan cookbook author, American Idol, & maintainer of good hair, who managed to snap a great shot of a sneaky Strummer, climbing out of her bag!
We recently went to Europe for 2 weeks & my parents watched Strummer while we were away. Here's a video I took as we walked in the front door to pick her up..
Please excuse the high pitched dog voice.. you know you have one too!
Strummer made her modeling debut for Strange & Violent Creations back in January, here's an outtake from the shots. Check out Erika's shop for awesome custom dyed pieces like this dog hoodie & sustainable menstrual accessories. Also, Strummer's friend Molly, companion of Erika & Pranjal, has a blog- The Bug Dog Blog!
Strummer HATES the car. On the rare occasion we get in to the car, she sits on my lap & buries her head or looks up at me with these sad little eyes. How can something so sad, be so cute?
Every Wednesday, Strummer & I go to Heart of the City Farmers Market & every week Strummer tries to eat some of the vegetables from our favorite vendor. This week she managed to get her paws on a carrot that was just her size!
YUM! Thank you to Evan of BjorkedOff for the photos!
My mother mentioned that the photos I've posted so far don't do justice to the cuteness that is Miss Strummer & I agree! She's typically a waggly tailed little lover, especially when it comes to her Mom & Dad. She loves to stand on Ryan's shoulder, so we call her our parrot. I taught her to attack with kisses & here she's doing just that, but not quite where you would want to be kissed!
2 lbs of terror, Strummer is a rescued female chihuahua from the mean streets of San Francisco's Mission district. This pint sized pup is quiet as a mouse, a Deery Lou lookalike, an herbivore, & a lover of all things corn!
